Deuteronomy 6:5-9, “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.”

What is the answer to America’s families?  Where is the “glue” that bonds the family together?  Where is the “bridge” that connects the parents with their children?  Where is the solid foundation?

Thanks to every Dad and Mom who will spend time teaching their children how to walk;  how to talk;  how to dress themselves;  how to feed themselves, etc.  As children grow into Teens, thanks to every parent who will teach the teen how to arrive at good decisions and make good, sound choices for their lives.

How about God?  Who will teach the children and teens about The Creator?  The Lord Jesus Christ, created them on purpose…for purpose.  God has told us in His Word that it is the Parent’s responsibility to teach the Scriptures to their own children.

As you teach them to read, teach them to read from the Bible.

As you teach them to walk, teach them how to walk in the ways of God.

As you teach them to talk, teach them how to talk of God’s wonderful love and majestic care.

As you teach them to learn, teach them how to learn from the Holy Scriptures.

As you teach them to make good choices, teach them how to choose Christ Jesus As their personal Saviour.

Deuteronomy 30:19, 20, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
